I was always the kind of girl who thought planning a wedding would be no problem. That was before I got engaged, of course. We were living in New York and wanted a wedding where I grew up: Seattle.  We found a venue we loved, Pravda Studios, and booked it. The hitch with Pravda?  It is a "blank slate" place, meaning that we would have to bring everything in and book all our vendors. No problem, I thought.  That is what the internet is for!  And that is when the panic set in.  It took me about two weeks to realize that I had no idea what I was doing. If I was going to have the wedding I had dreamed of forever, I needed professional help, and fast. Cue Katy.

From moment one (a slightly frazzled call from me to her), she was perfection: sweet, funny, smart, full of good ideas (and we love people with ideas), great at listening to my crazy descriptions and figuring out what I wanted, and always completely professional (always early, great at follow-through, on the ball, etc). If I were to describe everything that Katy did, it would take days.  So let me just say this - she did everything. From helping us to design the custom invitations of my dreams, to helping us create a decor that guests would rave over, to finding us a delicious caterer, to finding us a ROCKING band to whom all our guests danced the night away, to leading us to an amazing photographer, and to even finding us that all important person - an incredible Rabbi - who would actually marry us despite our conflicting faiths, she simply did it all and did it perfectly. I love details, and there were so many details to our wedding that there is no way I could have pulled it off - on my wedding day, I just wanted to say "I Do", look good and have a great time. Which, in my humble opinion, all totally worked out.  We could not have done any of it without Katy. I would be remiss if I did not mention that she did this all on a pre-set budget that my loving husband carefully monitored. Jeremy and I, our families and so many of our guests described our wedding and reception as a "perfect," "beautiful," "really fun" wedding that seemed to go off "without a hitch." That is all true, and that was all Katy.

I can’t tell you how much FUN we had at both the wedding and reception. Your help was absolutely invaluable, Katy - we were so incredibly happy with EVERYTHING. The vendors were awesome and the church was just as gorgeous as I had imagined it would be. Everything went so incredibly smooth all thanks to you! I truly think it was the best day of my life.  My sister took a ton of pictures and they made me so excited to get the professional ones... all the colors photographed GREAT. So thank you, thank you, thank you once again. I will recommend you to EVERYONE I know who gets married in Seattle in the months and years to come!

Jason and I just wanted to thank you for helping us create the most amazing wedding. The day was perfect, even down to the last detail, and it was exactly what I had dreamed it would be. All of the vendors you helped us select were superb and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. And thanks to you, Jason and I even got to have fun at our own wedding. You are smart, savvy, and so well organized and we had such a good time working with you. You have the wonderful ability to see someone’s vision and make it reality. Our wedding was proof of your amazing talent and ability.

Words cannot describe our appreciation for your expertise in planning our daughter's wedding in August. As out of town parents (Texas) the stresses mounted quickly as the date drew near and the reassurances you gave, the mother of the bride especially, were so helpful in assuring the day would be special. And it was.

From beginning to end the planning and wedding day ran like clock work. The Villa Academy and the Seattle Tennis Club were wonderful venues for the ceremony and reception. The tennis club did a great job with the reception and dinner. As for the band...well you saw for yourself they got everybody rockin' and were just great.

For us the day was as close to perfect as one could get. It could not have happened as it did without your help. Your vendors all performed as did you. In our minds there is only ONE wedding planner in Seattle... Katy!!!

As for a reference for Katy, she is WONDERFUL. We interviewed 4 people to be our wedding planner and she was the only one that we knew we had to have! She was on top of everything from start to finish - she notified our vendors, researched and fought for good prices, decorated our venue beautifully, kept all of us at ease through the whole process. To tell you the truth, you would not be able to find a better wedding planner and I really mean that.

Well done! You have been the consummate pro through this entire wedding process. We appreciate your strong leadership and your gentle guidance.

I can't imagine how anything could have been more perfect or beautiful and did we ever score on the weather! We've gotten some photos from friends already and between the setting and the colors, everything was gorgeous. The bridesmaids' dresses photographed absolutely beautifully – they shimmered pink, yellow and mango!

Caroline and Jack were on Cloud Nine with everything and call it "The Best Wedding Ever!" After all our struggles over venue choice, they couldn't have been more pleased. I can't thank you enough for a most fantastic, perfect wedding and reception for Marie and Wes. Your assistance, from the initial planning, vendor recommendations, getting the beautiful STC for us, to ensuring that the wedding and reception went smoothly without any stress for us was worth every penny and more! We've had many comments that it was the best reception they'd been to, and we certainly feel that way. We NEVER could have done it without you. You'll be the first person recommended to our friends getting married and then we'll recommend all our vendors too!

I was on the fence about hiring a planner, but I never regret it. There are so many things you need to think about over such a long period of time. She selected the best vendors - this saved me so much time and energy! I will tell you that through the vendors that she works with I actually got so many discounts that she paid for her services. I also was married at the Seattle Tennis Club which turned out beautiful. I would never have gotten married there if it wasn't for her because she has the connections to get inside because my family is not a member.

I truly believe that it makes a difference if you have someone who is impartial (not your mother or best friend!) to tell you when things need to happen. The night went seamless, and I enjoyed myself. I have been to so many weddings where the bride cries sometime during the night and needs to attend to something. I didn't want that stress. Everything went well, and if it went wrong I wouldn't know about it because Katy was there to make it right!

I definitely recommend her, she is organized and very knowledgeable. I was very happy with her services. She was like my friend when we finished.

Our wedding really was a perfect day for us. Bill and I had such a wonderful time, we were relaxed and everything came off so well, which we owe entirely to you.

We've heard tons of glowing compliments from our friends and family on how well it all went and how beautiful everything was. I know there were hiccups on the day, but you had them handled and out of the way before I even had a chance to worry about them, and with my in-control personality that really is impressive! You were far and away our favorite wedding vendor and the absolute best wedding investment Bill and I made. Even my mom, who was very skeptical about us hiring you initially, was absolutely won over. Know that if you ever needed a reference we'd be happy to offer that.
